Alyosha releases a loaded party prog EP with a 70s vibe

Alyosha is a restless little music monster, searching for the new sound, never receding into a genre or vibe. Coming off the release of the bangin lofi album Shut Up Cain in 2020 and 2 glorious electro gospel singles in 2021, Alyosha (aka Perth music and production veteran Michael Strong) is now, for some reason, releasing a loaded party prog EP with a 70s vibe.

Little Creators is a joyous, complex and head-spinning good time.

You’ll sniff a little Yes, Talking Heads, maybe even some Police. Chokers full of Afro polyrhythms, weird time signatures, riffs riffs riffs and killer production (done by the man himself in a show of pro level DIY). Somehow, the wankery doesn’t get in the way of the generous pop hooks and ear worms. More than anything, Little Creators is a whole bunch of super exuberant fun and a full-throated rebellion against the apocalyptic cynicism that is sucking the life out of the 2020s.
