Perth indie rock collective Odlaw return with their electrifying new single Dads Love ACDC – out on 4 April.
A raucous yet sentimental nod to nostalgia and the power of rock ‘n’ roll, the track marks the latest preview of their highly anticipated fourth album MI(L)D LIFE CRISIS, set for release next month.
Odlaw has weathered the storms. What started as a project by songwriter Mark Neal has grown into a full-fledged, eight-piece indie rock powerhouse featuring Veronica Zurzolo (Dolce Blue), Lee Napper (Gap Year), Damien Goerke (Sugar Wife), Jamie Gallagher (Pat Chow), Michael Strong (Alyosha), David Jago (Mezzanine), and Skinny O’Leary (sidequest).
Now, Odlaw sets the table and sweeps the hallway, preparing to invite you inside for their upcoming album with Dads Love ACDC, a sentimental, tongue-in-cheek anthem.
A love letter to the universal experience of dads blaring classic rock in the family car, Dads Love ACDC is the kind of track that makes you want to laugh, cry, and turn the volume all the way up. It’s a song about nostalgia, dads loving ACDC, and the way music weaves its way through our memories. The soaring guitars, anthemic melodies, and raw, heartfelt energy capture Odlaw at their best—witty, wistful, and a little loud.
With shows supporting Kisschasy and Sly Withers, festival slots at RTRFM’s In The Pines and Blues at Bridgetown, and a growing reputation as one of Perth’s most compelling live acts, Odlaw is here—bigger and louder than ever.
